Dr. Jessie-Lee McIsaac, Assistant Professor with the Faculty of Education and Department of Child and Youth Study, is seeking an Evaluation Coordinator at the Early Childhood Collaborative Research Centre.

 About the Opportunity

The Evaluation Coordinator position will support the management of current evaluation projects at the Early Childhood Collaborative Research Centre. This will include developing and adapting logic models and evaluation frameworks, coordinating data collection and analysis and leading the development of project deliverables. The Evaluation Coordinator will mentor graduate and undergraduate students and support liaisons with project sponsors and collaborators. This is a six-month term with the possibility of extension. Ideally, the incumbent would begin the position at part-time hours (~20hrs/week), with the possibility of increasing to full-time in 2019.

About You

  • Completion of a related Master’s
  • Knowledge and experience with evaluation theories/frameworks (e.g., theory of change, logic models).
  • Demonstrated skills with project management, qualitative and quantitative research and/or
  • Knowledge and experience of early childhood education and care provincial initiatives in Nova
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as a member of a
  • Able to supervise/mentor undergraduate/graduate
  • Excellent writing, interpersonal, communication and organizational
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, professional demeanor, critical thinking, problem solving and sound
  • Competence with basic administrative functions and working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with data analysis software (SPSS, NVivo), and Adobe Creative Cloud an asset
  • Bilingual in French language an asset (please identify in cover letter).

Classification: 6 Month, Term Contract, 20-35 hours/week

Starting Salary: $20 to $22 per hour plus 4% vacation pay, depending on experience Start Date: Flexible
