“The Need to Build Reach into Evaluation Design” with Steve Montague, hosted by CES-NS (November 2nd)

Update (November 3, 2020): The slides and chat from this event are now available below.

On Monday, November 2, 2020, 12 PM – 1PM (ADT), The Canadian Evaluation Society – Nova Scotia Chapter is excited to welcome Steve Montague to hold a learning professional development session.

The topic of this presentation will be the need to build the idea of reach (the ‘who’) of policies programs and initiatives into evaluation questions, models and approaches. In this unique time it is clear that the idea of reach is more important than ever when trying to understand situations and initiatives to address them. Participants will leave this session with practical insights and suggestions they can apply immediately to their work to help understand the ‘reach’ of initiatives and to improve the insight of their evaluations.

Steve Montague is a career practitioner, lecturer, and author in the field of evaluation and performance measurement and a Fellow of the Canadian Evaluation Society. He specializes in the linkage of program theory to performance planning, measurement and evaluation in multiple fields. Steve has conducted assignments and supported evaluations across four continents involving domestic and international governments, the United Nations, the World Bank, and the OECD.
