Hello Everyone,

Last month we provided an update on upcoming professional development. Since then, we’ve also launched registration for an Indigenous Evaluation workshop with Dr. Nicole Bowman (check it out, if you haven’t already!). We’d now like to wrap up our fall update with info on CES strategic planning!

CES National has released the 2019-2024 Strategic Plan. The three strategic objectives include:

  1. Elevate the professionalization of evaluation.
  2. Engage, attract, and retain members.
  3. Advocate for evaluation among evaluation users.

This Strategic Plan has three guiding principles that are embedded in how this work will be done:

  1. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusiveness
  2. Sustainability
  3. Seamless Member Experience

While we will work towards our own goals and objectives here in Nova Scotia, we have clear alignment with CES National’s objectives and will continue to do our work including supporting professional development around the guiding principles.

We are working on engaging and partnering with many communities, organizations and academic institutions as part of working towards the strategic objectives. If you would like to be engaged or know of some key partners you think we should be working with, please let us know

We’re very excited about the year ahead and can’t wait to connect with you all!

Take care,
Your CES NS Board
