CES-NS Symposium May 29th, 2014

The chapter board has been collaborating with the Nova Scotia Government Evaluators Network on the development of the CES-NS Symposium.

There will be more information on this event in the near future, please keep an eye on our website for more details. The symposium will be free for members.

CES members who are in consulting practices are invited to join the event over the noon hour to promote the work they do to the government evaluators who are attending. Tables will be provided for displays. This will be a great networking opportunity!

John Mayne Presentation – Demonstrating Impact in Complex Environments

Overview

  • Are you required to demonstrate impact in your work?
  • Does your work require you to demonstrate returns on investment?
  • Do you work in a complex environment where establishing cause and effect is challenging?

If you answered yes to any of these questions please join us for a day-long session with Dr. John Mayne

In the morning Dr. Mayne will share his thoughts on theories of change and making causal claims when demonstrating impact. This will be followed by an afternoon workshop on Contribution Analysis: The Theory and the Practice. Small and large group discussions will be part of the morning and afternoon sessions.
