Letter to Premier McNeil
With the change in government, the Chapter Board decided to write to the new Premier. We felt it was an opportunity to highlight the work the chapter does. We also highlighted the NS Government Evaluator’s Network and encourage the Premier to incorporate evaluation as a line of evidence for public policy decisions. The full letter can be found here.

CES President's Message
Hello members. It’s already the middle of January 2013. I hope you all had a happy and healthy holiday season. The Chapter Executive met yesterday to plan out our Professional Development activities for the coming year. Kathryn, our Program Chair presented a plan for professional development sessions for February through May. Check out the Chapter Professional Development page for dates, topics and presenters. The Executive began talking about our Annual General Meeting coming up in May. We are planning a full day event with workshops and presentations in the morning and afternoon. President's Update to Membership
Your executive has been busy over the last couple of months getting the website up and providing a couple of professional development events. In November, we hosted the “Introduction to Program Evaluation” workshop with 14 people registering. Feedback has been positive regarding this workshop. In December, we partnered with Dr. Kaireen Chaytor for “The Great Debates in Program Evaluation” at the Faculty of Management, the Master in Information Management Program at Dalhousie University. This was a free event for chapter members and number of members attended. It was a resounding success and the student papers presented where interesting, well thought out and covered a range of evaluation issues / topics.…
