Your executive has been busy over the last couple of months getting the website up and providing a couple of professional development events. In November, we hosted the “Introduction to Program Evaluation” workshop with 14 people registering. Feedback has been positive regarding this workshop. In December, we partnered with Dr. Kaireen Chaytor for “The Great Debates in Program Evaluation” at the Faculty of Management, the Master in Information Management Program at Dalhousie University. This was a free event for chapter members and number of members attended. It was a resounding success and the student papers presented where interesting, well thought out and covered a range of evaluation issues / topics.
In mid-November, Kathryn Yuill volunteered to participate with the executive as Program Chair until our next AGM in May 2013. Welcome to Kathryn and a big thank you for your willingness to step in mid-stream and help with our PD offerings. We will be posting our list of events for 2013 later in January. We are planning a Chapter Network Gathering for late January as well. To keep up to date with all chapter events, please bookmark our new events page and check back often!
The chapter website is operating and we are working on building/adding content. Aubrie is leading the way and has done a remarkable job getting us to this point. We need you support and input to make the place to go for evaluation information and conversation. Please keep sending your feedback, ideas and content. We are looking for occasional blog posts to highlight evaluation projects underway across the province as well as events to populate our events page.
