Description: The goal of this workshop is to introduce and engage with some theory and practices for Participatory Sensemaking in Evaluation, through the lens of Developmental Evaluation.

Sensemaking is a set of practices that engage collaborators impacted by the work being evaluated to understand evaluation findings and create more opportunity for evaluation findings to effect positive change.

The method will be a virtual participatory style workshop where participants can engage in Jamboard on Zoom. There are no specific prerequisites to attend this session, but it is best suited for participants with some experience in evaluation.

Facilitator: Miranda Cobb has 13 years of experience with developmental evaluation and participatory community based methods, including multi year, multi site systems change initiatives in the non profit sector in Nova Scotia and the Atlantic Provinces. All of her work is in systems change, social innovation and collaborative leadership with some projects explicitly using collective impact and others implicitly. Miranda is one of the founding members of the Developmental Evaluation Community of Practice. She is a member of the Canadian Evaluation Society (CES) and the Nova Scotia Chapter.

Ticket Price: Students: $25 | CES NL & National Members: $50 | Non members: $75
